Weird Lyrics
I think i must've been too overstressed by my essay that i'm posting really irrelevant posts. For a start, i was drinking my yoghurt drink (not made in China fyi) in the kitchen when i heard this Chinese song. My attention was directed to a bizzare stanza. It went like this
"and you hug me like a gentle big tree"
How does a tree hug a person? i cannot conjure any image in my mind of a tree hugging a person, let alone a 'gentle' tree. So what constitute a 'gentle' tree? Well, i guess durian tree for one would not be considered 'gentle' for it bears spikey fruits. Banana tree might be gentle, considering both its bark and its fruits are pretty smooth to begin with. And of cos you've never heard of something called durian smoothie unlike banana smoothie isn't it? But what about trees like angsana, rain tree, or trees that bears no edible or distinct fruits? Hmmm... i suppose i'm at loss now for i'm not the writer of the song anyway.
But still, how could a tree hug a person. And how does one feel being hugged by a tree?

I guess i will go back to my narrative kind of mood.
I went to school to study (more like doing my coastal management essay) and i happily plopped myself at the 6th level busy typing on my laptop. I was typing and typing and typing when suddenly a goon tripped over my power cable causing my laptop to be in complete darkness. The guy was so apologetic and i felt really bad that he was feeling bad. I just smiled and told him it's alright. When i reboot my comp, apparently the autorecovery did not work so i had to retype everything again. Not a very big chunk... just a paragraph. And i do think that disruption was good bcos i was more satisfied with my 2nd attempt. =)
Went to have dinner with family just now. Decided to try the food of this new coffeeshop. Oh my gosh, it was like one of the rare moments when i had to force food down my gullet. Prior to that, i was actually very hungry, but the food was so horrendous i just completely lost my appetite. That'll definitely be the last time i'm eating there.

I really think i ought to utilise my time more efficiently during the holidays. Having lots of same-day midterms cum presentations cum essays ain't something to look forward to at all. Somehow, i seem not to have any drive to blog anymore...

Great Saints are always Sick
Last week i had a bout of stomach flu and fever. This week i'm down with flu and weakness. Gosh, i can't believe my health is so bad. But like what aik has said, the great saints of history were those who often were sick. So probably i'm on my way to becoming one. =P
