*pain*

Awwwww...ouchie..... i tried to wake up this morning but i fell back to the bed with an excruciating pain down my spine. It was so painful (and it is still painful) that i had to clenched my teeth to walk. I wonder if it was my sleeping position that caused this pain. To think i am going to play badminton later...oh gosh... in this kind of state...i think i go be waterboy better. Hahaha.

Kind of looking out at the sky. So clear and so blue, with no clouds at all. If you guys gonna think that i'm going to write some romantic stuff... well... nope. I'm thinking about the high risk of skin cancer among those people suntanning by the pool now. Hahahaha...

Ok...i must be mad

But i'm really glad the week's over. The mad rush for completion of project really had taken its toil on me. To think i still have a SEA arts proj and a GE 1101 proj deadlines next week. Ok.... i shan't think so much... one step at a time.

This is just another notice of a long absence of posts once more... =)

Birthday Dinner @ Cafe 211

It was a superb birthday dinner at Cafe 211 for the 5 of us: me, Gordon, Gayle, Aik and Huijun. The ambience was good, the food was terrific (yes... must try) and there were nice sharings over the table. There were a few hiccups... one of them was that aik keong and i found out that both of us bought the same book for Gayle as birthday present. Aiyoh... great minds think alike. So in the end i had to give mine and aik keong had to source for another book for her. Oops. That's not all, aik keong bought me a New Bible Dictionary which i had already. Really appreciate the effort and the heart but i think he must've felt pretty sad that i had it in possession. *sigh*... But anyway, i got myself a birthday present today too. =)

After that, we went down to NYDC for dessert. Haven't had such good sharings for a very long time. I really thank God for tonight's dinner... it was a simple yet fruitful one.

Jazzy Birthday

Went to Esplanade today to attend a performance of Mosaic Music Festival 2007. The performance was 'Double Bill: Bridges by Tetsu Saitoh, Omar Puente & Robert Mitchell'. A fascinating performance, especially that of Tetsu Saitoh... the way he played the double bass was astonishing. I never knew double bass could be played like that. At first when he started to pluck, attached bell n wind chimes etc to the double bass, i thought it would be another kind of john cage's experimental music stuff which in accordance to my prior experience would be not of good taste. However, he pieced it up so wonderfully that it was not just a random display of muscial notes, but a beautiful composition of music incorporating many various sounds at the same time yet from only one instrument. Brilliant...

Omar Puenta & Robert Mitchell were fantastic in their jazz performance with the violin and the grand piano. One couldn't help but be mesmerised by their injection of their souls into the music. I was totally in awe of Robert's piano skills. According to Tienjie, he is one of the rare breed of jazz musicians to have really impeccable piano techniques. It's apparent that he must've come from classical background. Indeed, his piano performance did wowed the audience away.

Last but not least...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!
hahaha...so egocentric

Klutz

Due to my 'sudden' hectic lifestyle, i have not been able to have the opportunity to blog, thus my long absence. Well, to keep things short, God has indeed opened my eyes to see the needs of so many people around me and He has gave me this opportunity to help these people. =)

Maybe to blog about what happened yesterday.

I spent the whole afternoon at aik keong's place to prepare for my Bible Studies both for fellowship and for Sunday School. At around 1pm or so, both of us went down to BVSC to have a quick swim before continuing our work. After the swim, i went home to take a bath. Thinking that i've left my housekeys at his place, i did not take an extra key with me when i left home once more. So it happened that when it was time to leave for fellowship, i realised to my horror that my family was out and i could not find my housekeys to enter the house. Then did i remembered that i've left my keys in my swim bag and the swim bag was then lying snugly in my room. *PANIC*
I was dressed in my most 'homely attire': singlet, half-torn super short shorts n flip flop. I could not possibly wear this to church right? In the end i had to make do with Yibin's shirt and aik keong's pants. Gosh...do i look funny.
At that point of time i was really laughing my heads off. So funny that i could make such a blunder. But thank God all the same that i did made it to church with all my prepared materials for fellowship. On hind note, Yibin's shirt was pretty comfortably albeit tight-fitting.

Oh well... gotta rush off now. Do not know when is the next time i can blog again.
Till then.... =)
